Cookie Policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar storage used by ProofPitch (the landing page at proofpitch.online, the web app at app.proofpitch.online and the Telegram Mini App). Contact: support [at] proofpitch [dot] online.
What these technologies do
Cookies are small items a browser stores for a site. Local storage and service-worker caches work similarly: they keep information on your device. They are used here to let you use the app, remember your choices and make the app load quickly. The fonts are served from our own server. The web app loads no third-party script unless you accept optional analytics and advertising measurement (Microsoft Clarity, the Meta Pixel, the X Pixel and Google Analytics, see below); inside Telegram the Mini App loads Telegram's own script. Nothing else is used at the moment.
What the app stores on your device
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| session | Cookie (first party, signed, SameSite Lax) | Keeps you signed in during the closed test (login and password) | Up to 30 days, only after sign-in |
| pp-device | Local storage | A random device key that lets our server recognise this device and keep your saved matches and bets | Until you clear the site's storage |
| rvd-mini | Local storage | Your language and theme | Until you clear the site's storage |
| pp-consent | Local storage | Remembers your choice about optional analytics (Accept all or Reject optional) | Until you clear the site's storage |
| pp-inst-later | Local storage | Remembers that you dismissed the "install the app" hint | Until you clear the site's storage |
| pp-stats-off | Local storage | Remembers that you switched usage analytics off | Until you clear the site's storage |
| pp-lang | Local storage (landing page) | Remembers the language you chose on the landing page | Until you clear the site's storage |
| App file cache | Service-worker cache | Stores the app's own files so that it opens quickly and works with a weak connection | Replaced when the app updates |
| _clck, _clsk, CLID, MUID and similar | Cookies set by Microsoft Clarity, only after you accept optional analytics | Recognise a returning browser and join page views into one visit for heat maps and session recordings | _clsk 1 day; the others up to 13 months |
| _ga, _ga_JK6XBG3RXW | Cookies set by Google Analytics, only after you accept optional analytics | Tell one browser from another and join page views into a visit for visit statistics | Up to 2 years |
| _fbp, _fbc | Cookies set by the Meta Pixel, only after you accept optional analytics | Identify the browser and the advertisement click for advertising measurement | Up to 90 days |
| muc_ads, personalization_id and similar | Cookies set by the X Pixel (X Corp.) on X's own domains, only after you accept optional analytics | Measure visits that come from X advertisements for advertising measurement | Set by X; up to 2 years |
Inside Telegram, the Mini App runs in Telegram's own browser container, which has its own storage under Telegram's policies; Telegram's script is loaded only there.
Categories
Strictly necessary: the session cookie, the device key and the app file cache are needed for functions you request (signing in, saving your matches, using the app). Preferences: language, theme, the install hint. Analytics and advertising measurement: (1) our own simple usage events, measured on our own server (see the Privacy Policy); this is first-party and you can turn it off in Settings (stored as pp-stats-off). (2) Optional tools, loaded in the web app only after you press Accept all, never inside Telegram, and you can withdraw at any time in Settings: Microsoft Clarity (heat maps and anonymised session recordings, typed text is masked) the Meta Pixel (counts visits that come from our Meta advertisements and the registrations and deposits that follow), the X Pixel (X Corp.; counts visits that come from our X advertisements) and Google Analytics (anonymised visit statistics, with Google signals and advertising personalisation switched off; also on the landing page). Affiliate: when you tap the partner button, our tracking system adds a click identifier to the link; the partner's website may use its own technologies.
Your choices
On your first visit the web app asks about optional analytics with the choices Accept all, Reject optional and Manage preferences; nothing optional is on before you choose. You can change the choice at any time in Settings, where you can also switch our own usage analytics off. You can also clear or block site storage in your browser or device settings; this may sign you out, reset your settings and remove cached files. Browser controls do not erase information that is already on our server; to delete that, write to support [at] proofpitch [dot] online with the subject "Privacy request".
Other optional technologies in the future
If we add other optional analytics or advertising technologies (for example an advertising pixel), we will first update this policy, name the provider, purpose and duration, and keep them off until you choose "Accept all" or "Manage preferences". "Reject optional" will always be available and the choice can be changed later.
Third-party destinations
After you follow a partner link, the destination's own policies apply. Our choices do not cover what another website does.
Changes and contact
We update this list when a technology, purpose or duration changes. Questions: support [at] proofpitch [dot] online.
